It wouldn’t be an Aberdeen game if it didn’t make your heart skip a beat! A professional display from the lads up at a very difficult away ground. County are always a difficult opponent for us. They’re a dogged team, very stuffy, and don’t give you much to work with, which I think was evident in the 1st half display. We undoubtably made it hard for ourselves, but I think the most telling thing about the game is that we weren’t at our best, but we still managed to find a way to grind out a victory and continued our perfect start to the season. This type of game was one that we would’ve definitely lost over the last few seasons. I was excited and optimistic about Jimmy’s appointment, and he’s proving everyone why we were right to feel that way. It feels like he’s given us our club back. We have an identity, a culture, and an infectious buzz is going around Pittodrie and CP just now, and long may it continue. Our toughest tests are coming up quickly, and this is where we’ll truly see how we’re actually competing against the ‘bigger’ and better teams. We’ve got an extremely tough end of September, entire October, and start of November coming up with Dundee (a), Hearts (h), Celtic (a), Dundee Utd (h), The Rangers (a), Hibs (a), and Dundee (h). Don’t kid yourself thinking that Hearts, and Hibs will be easy games with how they’re sitting in the table, they’ll both be incredibly tough. This will be a very crucial couple of months in our season and where we’ll really be able to judge how the team is doing. P.S - I heard a rumour going round that Guardiola has been on the phone to Jimmy asking for tips 😉

not a good watch , we got away with it this time hope Clarkson & Polvara are back soon Boyd should be ahead of Sokler , he is more clinical from what we have seen of him pity we missed out on other signings , but looks like we are heading in the right direction

Jimmy will be getting plenty of plaudits and rightly so, with this said, big shoutouts must also go to Christer Persson, Emir Bajrami and Peter Leven... noticeable changes in player performances whose Aberdeen careers were balancing on a knife edge, especially in the wide areas. This is down to good coaching from the 3 mentioned, good to see that they aren't employed just to put the cones out...
